Annual 5K "Run for Funds"
On Saturday, September 26, the Medora Fire House was buzzing with volunteers, runners, walkers and supporters to help kick off the Southwestern Foundation's "Run for Funds" 5K run and one-mile walk through Medora.
Kaeden Kessinger kicked off the event shortly aft 8:00am playing the National Anthem. Madalyn Davis, Little Miss Jersey County presented medals to the overall male and female winners as well as the winners of each age group(male and female). The event raised $3,836.92. Proceeds from the event will help to provide scholarships for Southwestern High School seniors.
The overall winners of the 5K were Colby Dankenbring and Teresa Dankenbring. Both received a $50.00 gift certificate to First to the Finish located in Carlinville.
